THE KOALA:AN ENDANGERED ANIMAL.


The koala is one of the most endangered animals in the world. The koala lives in the eucalyptus forests of Australia. This animal sleeps 22 hours a day and the rest of the day the koala eats. It eats eucalyptus, 200-400 grams of eucalyptus a day. The koala is white and gray ,it is very hairy. There are only about 2000 left in the wild. Why is the koala endangered? Because there are few eucalyptus trees and many people kill them. In fact, every year people kill about 4000 koalas.
